Blackmoor Manor is the home of the Penvellyn family.
In the 14th century when Randulf the Red was awarded the land of Penvellyn by King Edward III for his heroism in the Battle of Poitiers, a manor was constructed that was to remain in the family for centuries.
Deep within the manor and heavily guarded, Randulf kept a chunk of meteorite that he thought granted him special strength. Passing the secret of the space stone from grandchild to grandchild, each initiate added their own layer of protection to the meteorite in the form of elaborate puzzles.
Though Blackmoor Manor was abandoned in 1650 when Elinor Penvellyn was burned at the stake for witchcraft, the family moved back in by 1715.
